Today is the 224th anniversary of our nation's most famous document... The Constitution! Constitution Day is celebrated every year on September 17th (or the school-day closest to it!).
In the computer lab today, I would like you to explore the websites below and learn all you can about the Constitution, our founding Fathers, and more! After exploring some of the websites, leave a comment and tell me one thing you learned today about the Constitution.

Happy Constitution Day everybody!!!
As a former 8th grade social studies teacher, I have to tell you... Constitution Day is my favorite. I hope you all take some time to really learn about the Constitution. The United States Constitution is like the owner's manual for our country... kind of like an owner's manual you get for a TV or a computer. Instead of telling you how the TV or the computer works, the Constitution tells you how the country works. It protects us, too.
You have an important responsibility to protect the Constitution. We the people are in charge of keeping it alive. Never in the history of the world has a constitution lived as long as ours. Although it was written 224 years ago, it still works. The guys that wrote it must have been pretty smart.
Please tell someone on Saturday, "Happy Constitution Day!"
